Wastewater Treatment of Copper Refining in Chile

A Chilean customer who is engaged in mining of copper delivered the wastewater by cast iron pumps in the past. Since the wastewater from copper-refining contains large concentrations of sulfuric acid, the pumps were often replaced due to corrosion. Under HCP' s professional advice, the customer selects and start to use the “SA Series submersible Stainless Steel Pumps”. The casting and outer cover of SA series is SUS316, with Viton pressing, which is very suitable for acidic, corrosive and sea water environment with pH value between 4~10. After 80(100)SA211 installed, the equipment can not only pump for longer time, but also with better efficiency and lower LCC.
