RO Purification System in Taiwan Shuinan Water Reclamation Plant

Climate change has put Taiwan’s industries in a water crisis. Diversifying water resources and water recycling are now pressing topics for these industries. The Taichung city government collaborated with the Water Resources Agency for the emergency water supply plan 2.0 to tackle the water crisis. The Shuinan Water Reclamation Plant completed its mobile RO purification system at the end of March 2021. The portable purification system provides 500 tons of water daily (equivalent to water supply for 2000 people). Additional 5 sets of RO purification systems and 10 sets of Q-Water purification systems are implemented later in this emergency water supply plan. The water reclamation plant adopted HCP PUMP stainless steel pump 80(100)SFP211(15HP) for pumping the effluent into the water reclamation plant. The RO purification system then transformed the wastewater into cooling water for the industrial and tech companies. These mobile purification systems have turned the wastewater into the blue gold that relieves the water crisis and its economic impact during drought seasons.
